Morning Ritual

I typically set my alarm for 5:45 and immediately take my thyroid pill with a big glass of water. Then I go to bed for 15 minutes until my alarm goes off again at 6. I'm out of bed, washing my face, slathering on some Vintner’s Daughter face oil, brushing my teeth & putting my contacts in. I prepare my daily celery juice - 16oz of fresh juice that I put in a glass bottle and head out the door. I've got to drop my dog off at the office before my morning workout class - likely The Class by Taryn Toomey, Physique 57 or Y7 yoga.

Commute Ritual

I live in Brooklyn Heights and work in Greenwich Village - my office is above our flagship store. My rescue pup Nelly comes with me to work everyday, so I drive in which is anywhere for 15 - 25 minutes. I drink my celery juice on the way. Once I get to the office, I try to check emails quickly and then typically walk to my workout class. After, I shower at the studio or at The Wing and then I walk back to the office around 8:30 to start my day! First order of business, scramble some eggs and make myself a peppermint tea.

Daytime Ritual

No two days are alike. I'm typically in and out of meetings with my team throughout the day - checking in on the operations of business or planning what's coming next. I'm often running to new business meetings, checking out something happening at one of our locations, or doing a press/PR appearance or interview. I usually start tackling my to-do list and set up calls in the afternoon. I'll just crank out work and emails until about 8pm or so.

Lunch Ritual

I usually eat lunch between 2-4p. I order a Misfit box every week, so I usually roast a veggie or two from the box at the office or have leftovers from the dinner before. If I'm out and about, I'll grab a salad at Sweetgreen or build a bowl at Dig Inn.

Dinner Ritual

I get home around 8:30pm and make a margarita or pour myself a glass of wine. Even if I've been in the kitchen at work, I enjoy making dinner - It's the way I decompress after a long day. Dinner is always my biggest meal, so I get to work on a salad, protein, lots of veggies, likely rice, and a sauce to tie it all together. My husband gets home around 9pm and we sit down and eat while zoning out to something on Netflix, some trashy reality TV I force him to watch, or sports if he gets his way. Usually once or twice a week I'll have dinner plans with friends, my husband or have a networking event at night. If I have to work late teaching a class or have a crazy day, I'll skip making dinner and order something in.

Night Ritual

After dinner, I usually get back on my computer and try to finish off my to-do list. I pack for the next day (workout, change of clothes, lunch, work clothes, anything I need for the dog, etc.). I take my vitamins, wash my face, fill my humidifier and head to bed around midnight.

Weekend Ritual

Somehow my dog knows it's the weekend. She sleeps in and then when she's ready she forces us out of bed and out the door to the park. We pick up Starbucks on the way (Green Tea Latte for me), walk about a mile to the dog run, let her play for a while, and then walk a mile home, typically stopping at the farmer's market on the way to pick up fresh fish, seasonal veggies and my husband always gets a donut. The rest of the day, I'll catch up on work, run a few errands, and likely head out with friends to cocktails and dinner. Sundays, I usually prepare a big dinner and invite friends over. I try to work a little less on Sundays.

High Brow Ritual

I treat myself to a facial about once a month & my husband and I belong to several wine clubs (our favorite is Hall Wines from Napa).

Low Brow Ritual

I'll order Domino’s pizza about once a month for a late night dinner - no shame here!

Ritual Fail

I'm not good about turning off. My job is all day/all night demanding, so I'm bad at unplugging.
